To keep you in charge of your sharing, the interface shows you types and names of devices connected to your network, together with the bandwidth used by each of them on a handy graph. All of the devices will connect to your hotspot, so you only have to pay one fee instead of three. This is especially valuable if you’re on networks that charge a per-device fee, like airplane WiFi. All of the connections will appear to come from the computer that’s acting as the hotspot. With this hotspot application, you can share a wired Ethernet connection, as well as 3G or 4G, if you're using the premium version. There's no Connectify Hotspot for Mac, although devices with any operating system can connect to the shared network. It's important to note that you can only launch this software on Windows devices.
The interface will keep you updated on the devices connected to your hotspot at all times. You may also choose to use your laptop's Wifi card to share the Internet from other Wifi networks. From then on, you'll be able to share available Internet connections with other devices. Once you launch the Connectify Hotspot app, it will open a window that requires you to determine a name and password for your hotspot.
